I LOVE MY DOCTOR!
My doctor is the greatest. He is an RE and OB/GYN so he has been through it all with me over the last 3 years. So when I got to my appointment there was a resident that came in first. She went through all the questions and took my blood pressure then decided to try the doppler. She was clearly new at the whole doppler thing. She barely touched my skin with it and was completely way too low. I know this because I use my own doppler all the time to listen so I know where to find the hb and I know you have to press down somewhat. So of course she couldn't find it (big surprise) but I could see her panicking a little bit. I wasn't worried at all because I had listened for a few seconds early this morning. So she said something about it being too early and left the room. My doctor came in a few minutes later and said "hop up on the table and lets find this heartbeat" So he found it in a few seconds, loud and strong and 160bpm. He was so happy for me. He gave me a high five and said that at this point my chances of m/c are extremely low even with my history. He just kept saying how happy he is for me and how he was so sick of telling me that I'm miscarrying and he's so happy that this time is going so well. I had to remind him we have a long way to go. I left there feeling really great! So I need to get the second part of the IPS test done in 2 weeks and see him again in 4 weeks (I'll be 18 weeks) then another u/s at 19weeks.
