9 weeks

I'm 9 weeks today and feeling pretty good. The nausea has gotten a lot better but still makes a rare appearance a few times a week. Now a new symptom has started, my migraines are getting quite bad. I've had one for about 4 days now and it seems to be getting worse not better. I finally broke down and took some Tylenol today and that took the edge off but I can feel it wearing off already. I'm also having weird muscle twitching all over my body and especially in my shoulder and upper back. Weird stuff.
I can now find the h/b on doppler no problem so that's always good for keeping my stress levels at a minimum. I booked my 12 week u/s for Sept. 24th at 8:00am so that's exciting. Hopefully everything is still going well at that point. We haven't told anyone except for my parents and my sister. We haven't really seen any of DH's family since we found out so that's why we haven't told them yet. I guess we will have to tell his parents soon. We will be seeing them either tonight or tomorrow. I don't want to tell them because my MIL has a big mouth and I'm worried she'll tell people even when we ask her not to. I'm really not ready to share this with the general public.

  1. Tylenol's totally ok - so don't hold back on taking it. And call your doctor if your h/a is so long and bad.

  2. Benedryl is also okay. When I get a bad sinus headache (hasn't happened yet this PG but has others) I take one tylenol and a half benedryl, and it actually does quite a bit for not very much drug.

I'm 8 weeks as of yesterday, and yesterday my new symptom was lower back pain. I've been doing a lot to treat my lower back in the past year and have gotten it pretty healthy, so this sucks.

I need to find out how much the doppler is. I'm tired of wondering if my babies are still alive in there. What kind did you get?

  4. Forgive the assvice, but I'd get the muscle twitches checked out.

For headaches, Tylenol (which NEVER worked before I was pg) actually helps, surprise, surprise. I add a little caffeine, and then I'm usually good to go!

So glad that the doppler is working regularly! :)

  6. OHW: Yeah Tylenol never works for me either but seems to take the edge off now. The muscle twitching only lasted a couple days and seems to have stopped now but I'll ask the doc about it on Thursday.
